How the Soku Minute Mattress system works
Share
Introduction
The Soku Minute Mattress system makes mattress deployment fast, hygienic, and scalable. It uses technology adapted from the packaging industry, so organizations can provide safe, comfortable mattresses in almost any environment, quickly and reliably.
The technology behind inflation
- Industrial-grade film system: The core of each mattress is a cartridge of European-produced LDPE film, prepared with welds and tear seams at set intervals. This lets each mattress be separated easily at the moment of use.
- External inflator machine: When needed, a cartridge is attached to the external inflator at the deployment site. This compact, robust machine, proven in industrial use, blows air into the film chambers and inflates each mattress quickly.
- Operator simplicity: One operator can prepare the inflator and start the process. Preparing the inflator and placing the first cartridge takes about one minute. After that, a single operator can make up to 200 mattresses (Soku Minute Mattress – Economy) ready for use per hour.
Materials used
- High-quality LDPE film: The film is formed from European-produced LDPE by blown film extrusion, which gives durable and consistent quality.
- Minimal material per mattress: Each Soku Minute Mattress – Economy uses only 170 grams of material, which reduces waste.
Step by step: how the inflation works
- Load the film: The operator inserts the mattress cartridge into the inflator's feed and secures it.
- Start the inflator: The operator presses the start button.
- Inflation: The inflator draws film from the cartridge and blows air into the air chambers from the side.
- Sealing: The inflator seals the air chambers as it fills them.
- Separation: Once the air chambers are filled, the operator separates the mattress at the tear-off line.
- Repeat: The process continues for each mattress. One operator can produce up to 200 mattresses per hour.
Key advantages
- Rapid deployment: The system produces air mattresses on site, which suits emergencies, events, and large-scale operations.
- Hygienic and single-use: Each mattress is freshly made and used once, which prevents cross-contamination.
- Sustainable: Minimal material use, recyclable LDPE, and efficient logistics.
- Operator-friendly: Simple preparation and operation; one person can manage a high output.
Certifications and compliance
The film used for the product has the following certifications.
| Aspect | Certification / Standard | Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Material Safety | EU 10/2011, 1935/2004 | Food-contact safe |
| Production Quality | ISO 9001, BRCGS AA | Consistent, traceable, hygienic |
| Environmental Impact | ISO 14001, EcoChain LCA | Low CO2, recyclable, waste minimal |
| Chemical Safety | REACH (no SVHCs) | No harmful substances |
Why this system is unique
- Adapted from proven industrial technology for reliability and scale.
- No electronics, valves, or pumps in the mattress itself, which reduces cost, weight, and complexity.
- Designed for high-volume deployment by a single operator.
